Ive got to the point where more than a couple pedals is a pain in my ass. Im running a sarno earth drive int the new super duper mxr carbon copy that does it all.

That keeley looks like it packs alot of punch. Im not trying to clone jerrys rig but hows the filter on that pedal you can also use it as a regular wah and it has octavia and univibe sounds and a fuzz as well it dont have to be a perfect Mu-Tron but just good enough to get my jerry jollys.

Got ya cheaper as well. I just like smaller pedals. Hell i dont like pedals at all. But i love my earth drive

Keeley Monterey is a very versatile pedal - but it's not designed to get the auto filter Garcia tone. It has many amazing Hendrix/Zappa flavored tones, and can do an OK wah sound if you hook up an expression pedal. Especially with the fuzz on.

Keeley makes the Neutrino which is their (excellent) auto filter, although not an exact replacement for a MuTron.

Just wanted to say that I’ve had the keeley Monterey for a bit and it is my go to pedal for Grateful Dead auto wahs. I’ve played through a q-tron as well and was surprised that the Monterey can nail Grateful Dead tones for fire on the mountain, shakedown, estimated, and dancing in the streets…etc better than the Q when I roll the volume on my guitar to 7 and have a compressor to at least it sounds just like 77 dead. It also has an octave switch so you can also get really close to tones from feels like a stranger having a bass double up. Or dancing with an octave up and a phaser.

For the people saying it doesn’t work well, put a compressor in front of it in the chain and roll the guitar volume to 6-8 depending on if your soloing or playing rythm
