So I talked to WGS speakers about what I was looking for and they recommended this. https://wgsusa.com/et65

Said it's the closet thing they offer to the JBL d120f. "This speaker has lots of clean headroom but at the same time is quite responsive. The fat bottom end response stays tight in most every situation, the mids have a slight scoop and give a nice open, mellow feel, much like a D120F. The top end has a great sparkle to it." When I asked about it being listed under British on the site. He replied, "You and I probably have similar definitions of British and American style tones. A typical British sound would have emphasis on the midrange, tighter, punchier bottom, and generally less top end. An American tone is fatter in the lows, with drastically less midrange response, and sparkly highs. If you’ll refer back to my original description of the ET65, it should fit the second category much more aptly than the first."

Going to look into it a little more, but maybe it could work. Once again this is more about speakers that get in the realm of Garcia tone, like the Weber Cali than speakers that are exact like JBLs.

These are becoming the favorite of many Nashville guitarists. They aren't expensive and go well in a Deluxe.

Have you had a chance to hear/play one, if so what are your thoughts? Is it British sounding or does it sound American, Fender cleans etc..? Also do you think it can get in the Jerry tone territory?

I have one.I 've put it in my pro junior 1 x12 cab.I was not using this to go for a Jerry tone.
I only wanted to say they are good speakers.
I definitely am not qualified to respond to the Jerry tone question.
I prefer his tones from '68- to '72 myself.

I’d look at the Fat Jimmy C1270s and A1260s. I mean, by no means a JBL D/K120 but definitely a snappy and clear driver for your Fender. At least if you’re looking to get a good speaker that, if EQ’d right, will give you snappy JG-esque punch without going full JBL. Can’t beat the price either. Email Mike, he won’t bullshit ya [email protected].

Edit: also amazing with overdrive, distortion, Muff, fuzz, etc.
