Didn't see it. Generally dislike TV. Friends occasionally popped up with music that was recognizable to me. In the final show, they played Embryonic Journey. In another episode, they played an instrumental bit from Casey Jones.

The weather channel will play a lot of cool music in the back ground

I've heard "yem" "Divided sky" "so what" "fire on the mountain" "nashville skyline" and some others.

I've heard most of them too! Also, they've done "Fluff's Travels". The first time I heard it I went through many stages:

Familiarity
Denial
Acceptance
Bliss

Not really on-topic, but not really off either:
My previous ISP had terribly long waiting times on their
support line and they played the same song over and over
again. I was getting so pissed off, but then - suddenly,
they played Mexicali Blues! I was so shocked, and then I
started to dig the song. Then of course they answered the
phone and I got instantly annoyed again, this time for
cutting off the song early..

Which episode of Desperate Housewives are we talking about,
we're a few episodes behind here in Norway.

That 70's Show has played numerous clips of the Dead. I definitely love hearin it. Also in Fear and Loathing there is a quick clip of the Dead playin onstage sometime in the 60's (maybe 67 i think)

I have no choice but to admit that I was in a room that had DH playing on a TV... an unfortunate imposition on my every Sunday evening, when I could be watching Family Guy!

Eva Longoria asks the limo driver for some "loud music" so she can have sex w/ a dude in the back of the limo. Then its a shot of the exterior of the limo with "Good Lovin'" blasting. Pretty amusing.

The only time I remember a dead song playing in That 70s Show
was one time they played Truckin' while the group took pictures
for the yearbook or possibly a birds-eye-view of the group
around the table smoking..The "Hyde" character has a few
dead-shirts though, "Wake of the Flood" beeing one.

I've seen Fear & Loathing more times than I can count, can't
remember a single shot of the dead in it, care to pinpoint it?

Yeah, I get anal about these things.. :x

When I hear dead songs the most is on espn. Whenever Bill Walton is being interviewed or has a segment on sportcenter or mike and mike in the morning. Usualy get trukin, casey jones, suger mag, but I once got a i need a miracle. I think Mike "Greeny" might be a dead head too. I've heard him make some reference during interviews with walton.

They played truckin and casey jones in 70's show. As for Fear and Loathing at the end of the movie when he is sittin there in the trashed hotel reminiscing of when he was young (when he sees himself at the party and has a guy lsd off his shirt) there is a quick shot of a group onstage outside. I think he says somethin about the Summer of Love. But if you pause that image you'll see the band. Look for Phil as he is most noticable at that time.
