I was searching for one for around a year and there was basically mint condition ones that sold for less than that. if you're looking on ebay make sure the seller knows how to properly package a vintage amp for shipping. I paid $400 for one from ebay, after losing probably 10 auctions prior, and it arrived heavily damaged, as the seller shipped it in a taped together latex glove box that was basically the same dimensions as the amp, with crumpled up paper on top and bottom. He claimed it would be well packaged, but my heart sank when I went to pick it up at the po and she put it on the counter. It wasn't even marked fragile anywhere, and was sadly dead on arrival. Keep your eyes on the Garage Sale section here, as thats where I eventually got a great deal on an SMS and MC50 already in a rack for way less than that MC50 is listed.

As you can see there is a wide variation in the asking price for each model. So, while an MC50 would make sense for home use the MC250 and MC2100 can be had for less. What's a guy to do?
