Just received my new (used) Electro-Harmonix Riddle: Qballs envelope filter pedal. Bought it used from the evil empire (GC) for 90.00. Seemed like it'd be worth it if it sounds half way decent as I don't have 300.00 atm to buy a Trutron with if I could even find one for sale.....Anwyays, It's a bit tricky to dial in as it has quite a few settings, and I've only been able to hear it bedroom volumes, but my initial opinion is that this thing is pretty decent! I've only owned a DOD envelope filter back in the mid 90's, but this thing sounds better than that one ever did. Once I can get to the practice space and really get the amp turned up and the pedal dialed in, I'll record a clip and try to post it soon. But, again, initially I think that I'll be happy with this until I have the money to buy a Trutron.
