okay so i want to experiment with some trippy petals, but im not really sure how to hook them up or what a good pedal is. Please Help!!

As far as trippy pedals I'd suggest a good Auto-Wah/Envelope filter and a Phaser.

The best phaser IMO is the Maxon PH-350.

For Envelopes, I love the one I built off BYOC.

trippy how?... like the ones used by Jerry (or any other examples you care to cite) ...or particularly unusual and crazy ones? off the top of my head I'd say maybe the Moog MurF and the Xotic Robotalk...
