It's a put-on just like the original Cornell show was. To cover what the Dead did in Ithaca, DSO just have to sit at home and relax.

I got my tickets, I saw them in johnson city, ny last november, about a 3 minute drive from my school. I thought they were rather good, granted I know its not the real thing, but unfortunately I never made it to a real dead concert in my mother's womb or as a little child. Closest thing I can get to it besides the tapes.

More than tapes. Everyone should be exposed to real live music.

Whoa, hey there.....
Are you suggesting that the 5/08/77 show never happened? I've heard that rumor before, but I always thought it was beyond ridiculous. :x

The "5/8/77 Never Happened" hoax is just an old chestnut that gets trotted out by the people who are obsessed with the fair-to-middling show 5/8/77... whenever people stop talking about how supposedly great 5/8/77 was.

I'm from JC, too and saw that show. These guys are pretty incredible. Looking forward to the Ithaca gig.
seems like quite the task to try and replicate that show
I saw them do the show in Phila Last year or the year before. It was smokin.

Okay guys yes DSO rocks , Rob Eaton is one of the most talented people in the jam band community ... great guitarist, producer of gold records, blah blah blah ... I have seen them ALOT ... nice guys too ...they have all been supporters of the scene in one way or another for a long long time ....
