Brian K brought me his Bandmaster Reverb sorely needing some tender loving care.
Lots of old, gone-bad, capacitors, some carbon comp R's that had drifted into oblivion....all made good now.
bias circuit changed to adjustable bias instead of bias-balance
I also modded the reverb a bit to make it easier to dial-in (widened the sweet spot and reduce the max amount of reverb).
I'm posting this to remind how a good Strat (in my case, Lollar blackface pickups with my own design unity gain buffer inside the guitar) into a single JBL K-120 (recently reconed by Upland) can sound into a Fender style amp! Bear in mind the low volume, amp not really opened up...but still...you can't help but love this stuff!
