Cool find. I recall the quotes Re: Garcia waking at 7am to start practicing all day in focused effort to become a master during this era. It shows. Great feeling to be in such command like that; I experienced that feeling (definitely not reality lol) a few times years ago when I played all day long, but it has been elusive in recent years.

Very cool- great find! And a rare Jer in tiedye to boot.

I heard a second-hand story about a guy that was doing some work on Jerry's house, this would be latter years- like 90's, that said that the only guitar he saw Jerry play while he was there was a beat up old tele.

It's a good thing that we all, being serious guitarists, already own Teles or we'd need to rush out now to buy them. ;)

Indeed Jon! I know you too are TDPRIer.

I always thought Alligator had a distinct Tele vibe tonally, and knowing Jerry's Bakersfield-esque approach in the early 70's it makes sense to ME.

I had always heard about him and a Telecaster over the years but this was the first I had seen of him actually playing one. He is really diggin' into it which is cool...

Glad you guys dig the video. Found it on you tube doing a NRPS search
