Wow this is cool! This is GREAT jam idea to play The Stones tune in a Mixolydian vibe!!!!! I like it alot....lot's of room for some cool improv and soloing. Nice rhythm section....you guys did this well.

Hey man,

Thanks for that. A funny story about doing stones stuff. Our Halloween gig we really wanted to make an impression. Opener with Shakedown. Into. Sympathy for the Devil. Only our rythem guitarist played this one instead. Without realizing it. So at the end if the show a dude comes up screaming for sympathy and Sean's like "hey dude we already played that" and one of the drummers had to tell him we did Can't Always get What you Want.

That's playing live for you. It can be a big blur by the end of the evening.

But the thing is. The soloing and groove in Can't Always Get What you Want and in the C jam of Shakedown are real similar and I'm playing in that Stones tune going ah shit I'm coping my own licks from the last song. Just two songs into the set!

Shows the importance of thinking about sing sequences.

Yeah! Thats very unique! I wish the musicians around here were that clever. I actually stopped playing out because of the quality and no attention to detail. There's a nice open mic on Sunday afternoons I go to now where the folks have reasonably good talent and they are fun to jam with. I might wanna borrow your idea sometime!
