Hello rukind forum! Just getting back into playing after about 20 years. I never really learned scales or modes or anything like that, so I am going back and learning it now. Amazing how much information is in this forum.

Having fun getting back into playing some of my favorite Dead tunes too!

Welcome.
I grew up in Cranford, NJ and graduated from CHS in '81.
Of course we lovingly referred to it as "CranStock", and it was a major DeadHead, kegger in the woods, jamming out after school every day to Dead, 'Tucker Band, CDB, Allmans, existence.
Many shows at MSG, Nassau, Spectrum, Capitol Theater.

Class of '81 from a bit north of Cranston. School in Allendale home in Upper Saddle River. Sounds very similar...we were all deadheads and loved having the opportunity to see all those shows back in the day.

Hackensack class of 78, old Union Co band was Timber in the mid 70s then Molly Cribb in the late 70s. Great scene for live music back then. Great HS parties up at Harriman St Park, 1st parking lot, red dot trail! Still cranking out the tunes www.deadonlive.com and still go up to Harriman hiking with the family. Yo NJ!

Don't know where you're from Dave007 but it looks like Northern Bergen Co. has copped your thread. (bad day for that it seems) Harriman reference took me back, but 'Highlanders' tipped me off my stool. NHRHS '75. Lotsa good memories of Seven Lakes Pkwy. Shaeffer Music Festival, Capitol Theater, Roosevelt Stadium (CSNY the night Nixon resigned). It was a rare night out that we didn't stop at Pietro's in Ramsey. Hippyguy, you know any of the Kennedy girls?
