Im going to put this up on craigslist soon, but figured Id post an ad here first since I know theres quality members on this board. Im putting my 1965 Fender Pro Reverb up for sale. Im aiming to get $1700 for it. A couple things:
-Prefer local pickup only (Im in San Francisco)
-Would like to sell with the flight case
It has the following upgrades, which were done to the amp prior to my purchasing it:
Tone Tubby Alnico Speakers
Mercury Magnetics Transformers
I added:
SED Winged C 6L6's
v2 - GE long plate 12ax7
v3 - jan phillips at7
Rect - JJ GZ34
The amp sounds great and is fully functional.
the rest of the preamp tubes are a mix of tung-sol and groove tubes
I purchased this amp in ~2011 from Aantones music in Hayward, and from what I understand the amp had been upgraded by his amp tech there. I then later on took it to San Jose Rock Shop for another look over where I had him install SED Winged C 6L6's as well as re-bias, etc. The amp has not been serviced since then and was used on maybe 20 gigs from 2011-2012 and has seen very light use since then.
Im selling it because its just more amp than I need and would prefer something a bit lighter. I havent been using it much lately and my policy is if its not getting used its time for it to go. The amp sounds great and is in good condition. It is very clean (sounding) and super loud before there is any breakup. I think it would make a great Jerry/GD platform.
More pics and details to come soon, I dont have pics of the chassis cause I dont know the first thing about removing it (another reason Im selling this guy) but if youre interested in the amp and know that type of thing youre welcome to open it up and take a look.
