Hey guys, so I have a Mesa Boogie Mark I. Its got quite a static like hiss and buzz going, which gets slightly worse the warmer it gets. Also, it really gets louder when using my rack...IVP primarily. Ive read into what types of issues are caused by bad tubes and whatnot, and read that the pre-amp tube closest to the inputs will be noisiest when tapped. Well, my noisiest tube is the one closest to the power switches (farthest from the inputs). Its a 12at7 tube, it seems like that could be the one? Anyone ever have a similar issue?
Also a few years ago, a local shop changed my effects loop in the back to a unity gain loop. Should I have it brought back to stock? That seems to be a bit noisy as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
