Almost finished wiring. I've isolated all the vintage gear in a separate rack. It ties in with the main rack and the power rack via rear patch panels. It is all controlled by MIDI---no audio signal runs to/from the board; only control cables for amp/channel selecting/switching, wah & volume (which control the Cry Baby rack unit & MIDI Expression (which is assignable to various pedals and effects. Here's a photo of the rigs:

As a proud GASaholic, that Sir, is an impressive array. I like how you've got both vintage and new, not either/or. Although with your chops, I'm sure you would make my rig sound right. You gotta know that there are a lot of husbands that are gonna 'git some' tonight after their wives see that picture. "Yeah, he spends some money, but not that bad."

I'm having a custom combo amp made using state of the art transformer that will allow me to rack a preamp and effects unit and I have a smaller pedal board that will give me the basic effects I need (plus I can pull things off the rack shelf in my main rig).

Rather than all pictured, aren't you pretty much just using the IVP, AD230, UE400, SC50 for your Bobby sound?

mk
Sorry, Michael. I didn't understand the question! Yes, for Bobby sound, I use that + the PCM 81 for reverb & an EQ pedal that Yogi made me that uses the Artist Active EQ system (kind of like your pedal) since my guitar doesn't have that. It makes a difference. I also run it all through the power rack below the vintage rack. But I plug the guitar into the SMS Revelation preamp to hit Brad's Steel Guitar Black Box buffer. There's also some noise reduction in the signal path, too.

Would love to hear new recordings since you added the AD230 & UE400.

Soon. Still have a bit of wiring I need to do but should be finished by end of the weekend. I'll send you some clips. Looking forward to your opinion.
