Hi all... practicing last night it suddenly occured to me that I never posted any clips of my guitar after I had the JBLs and playing with a somewhat Jerry tone... so here's a bit of last night. The guitar is straight into a Real Tube Reverb, into a '67 Champ, out to a E120 and D120 in parrallel. No other effects. The strings are pretty dead... but you'll get the idea.

It starts with the neck pup, then to the middle, playing/picking both a bit up over the frets... I like the strange tone "o)

Then an extended bit with the bridge pup... sorry for the lack of brevity, but this is the way I practice, just improvising

The last bit goes back to the middle pup... I may try to make a tune out of the last bit (minus the Bid You Goodnight bit of course "o)

I'm switching back and forth a bit between the Buffer and the Blaster

The recording is just a Zoom Hn4 sitting on the desk, not the best quality, but it's ok.

Hmmmm.... I've been trying to actually embed the youtube video... but it's not showing up. I click the 'youtube' button, and copy the url inside, but nada...

Thanks guys... I'm not completely happy with it yet though. I placed the pups ascetically, which was, well, questionable "o) I think I'm going to have to move them back toward the bridge a bit and make a new surround. I do like the bridge pup sound though. I used a DP100 instead of the 104 to take a bit of the edge off that one. To me, the middle pup and neck pup, don't sound sharp enough.

I'm not positive about the Ibanez bridge either... I will probably end up making a harmonica type for it, when I get the time :D

I'd love to be able to hear it through a real Jerry Rig... Maybe I can make arrangements with someone in Colorado, Front Range, North? Fort Collins would be great!

I just picked up another D120, pulled the 'k120' from the box and found it is actually an E120 :D I traded some work for it, the guy told me it was a K model, and I never bothered to look at the model number... it was my first JBL  Had I been experienced, the driver would have been enough "o) Anyway.... I really like the D120s better... I put the second one in the box, put the Blaster on 'unity' and wow... it's really close to my favorite early 70's sound

It's convinced me to make a Late Alligator/Early Wolf hybrid for myself now "o)

Just include the portion of the URL that comes after the EQUALS SIGN (=) between the YOUTUBE tags.

Voila...

I'd love to get some advice on plain' some of that noodlin' you did on the first part of the clip.
TAB, notes, video, etc.?

Gracias!

The first part is all just messing around in B Mixolydian... That's a major scale with a flat 7th. I wouldn't want to try to Tab it... it's just noodling around the Scarlet Begonias thing.
