Here's a little video I put together with my iPhone from a gig on the weekend, which highlights my latest rig incarnation in action - a 73 Vibrolux running on both channels, with my Axe FX Ultra running through one channel effects only and my vintage boss effects and Protron running through the reverb channel.

The guitar is an 81 Aria Pro II Rev Sound 750 with a SSL-7 Quarter Pounder fitting in the middle position. It's like 14K output or something and the neck and bridge are super low output 4-5K each so its a unique blend. Definitely some 74-77 Jerry tones with this rig. Those pick-ups blend really well together - total experiment and counterintuitive, but I was looking from something like an SDS-1 but different.

The highlight of the video is Ian Cameron on bass, and we've picked up another drummer as well and both spent 4 years together studying jazz with their instruments. Ian's on a fretless custom bass, an Alembic inspired creation through an Eden power amp.

It's not your average video. My iPhone was on a tripod but I took advantage on my Mac Book's iMovie's crop and pan tools in an attempt to fake knowing what I'm doing. I'm killing myself on this one because I gave the sound man a flashdrive for the board recording and it came back blank at the end of the night. We usually get a studio quality recording out of this guy - but the stage volume was low and the iPhone picks up the in the room vibe - its surprisingly not bad.

Peace,

James
