I was just wonderin if any of you believe or have heard of another Dead tour like the Wave that Flag tour? Maybe it has come to a complete end?

The recent Ratdog that I've heard is pretty excellent, really sounds like they are having fun, and I would much rather have another chance to see them than The Deader Ones.

Maybe part of it is that I just cannot bring myself to refer to The Other Ones (the name they absolutely should have stuck with) as "The Dead"... there! I did it, kinda.

And maybe I'd be interested if they could settle on a single keyboardist and a single lead guitarist (me! )

I agree with you to a certain extent. I just miss that outdoor summer carnival scene. In Michigan, Ratdog has only played at small venues in the winter. I can only dream of seeing Ratdog at an outdoor venue in mid July. That definately would be my first choice.

If they ever regroup, they should hire Matt Hartle. I have brought him up before on previuos posts. If you haven't heard this guy play, you are missing something. They have a few of his shows on archive.org

Sure they will! They are gonna miss it sooner or later.

I'd like to see:
Phil
Bobby
Mickey
Billy
TC
TS

It's a fine year for the Dead to get back on tour and I see some large blank spaces on Ratdog's calendar between March and Bonaroo. They wouldn't miss out on the 40th year of the Summer of Love? I assume?

The Dead should get Hornsby for keyboards. That man could PLAY.

if they have a guitarist such as bob, and a keyboarder like Bruce, i think they could somewhat makeup for jerry's absence. but bobby just wanted the four originals (counting mickey as an original) to get back together. im not sure how that might turn out.

or maybe get Branford out there on sax as another lead instrument.

Phreaker: have you seen Ratdog with sax? I didn't especially like it when the sax wiped everyone else out. Also: are you really a phreaker?

i dont like it when the sax overpowers the other instruments, but it sounds amazing on songs like eyes, i think it can really improve the music, but i think too much sax in your music is kinda like too much salt on your food.

its gonna be a quintet with original members, bobby, phil, mickey(for the most part original) , and bill

it might be about time that we thank the dead for all theyve done for music and more nowadays, and get as many recording as we can while we can. and support the remaining menbers as much as possible cause lets face it they are like gods to us. DAMN I HOPE WELL SEE THEM AGAIN TOGETHER!

ps, youd think that there would have been more phil lesh's droping in on a ratdog show and vis versa down the chain?? right??
