When it doesn't fit anywhere else

I have some in wall speakers that I want to use with a powered mixer (3 instruments and 3 vocals).
I have speaker wire running out of the wall.
How do I connect the 1/4 inch cable from the PA to the speaker wire.
Is there some kind of faceplace that has this type of configuration?

Is it bare wire? If so you can get a wall plate with 1/4" jacks for a tidy solution. You could use a female 1/4" end but that would be a little messy looking. If it's not bare wire what is it? You could take a picture that would be helpful.

Wouldn't something like that with a single TR be just what you would want?

That's what I'm thinking. If the wall plate is convenient to your application. The TRS plate you have won't work as it as you'll just need the tip/ring (T/R) jack . . . and a solder iron.

Solder the positive or hot lead to the tab that is connected to the long piece that the tip of the sleeve (red in the image). Solder the negative/ground to the other one.
