well.....maybe not. Many, many years ago, I made a friend of Gregg Larsen when this site was in danger of being taken down. He took it over as caretaker and administrator and this site is as much him as it is me and the tabs. Gregg and I finally got to meet face to face for the first time ever last night. We had a great visit. I'd be remiss if I did not mention guys like Billbbill, strumminsix, Jack_strw and riverrat (forgive me if I forgot anyone) who have helped by serving as admins on the site. But really, this site is all about you folks. Gregg and I were talking about the community that is RUKind.....and the answer is yes....everyone here is kind to each other.....and that's what makes it work. Whether your here for the tabs, the forums, or both, we thank you for being are part of our lives and helping this site in its success.

I think this has been long overdue. Too often we take things like this for granted. Not realizing or taking the time to consider all the hard work and effort it takes to keep something like this up and running. It's great to finally put a face with some of the names I am so familiar with. This is the first place I visit when I sit down at the computer and it has been and continues to be and endless source of information and inspiration to me. Thanks you for everything you guys do to keep this wonderful community afloat.

As stated, it does seem like we are all unseen friends...but wouldn't it be cool to change that and attempt to bring folks together somehow? Might be a pipe dream, but it seems like the Glen and the GD gear expo are no longer on the radar. Maybe an RUKind annual event may be in order...

I have had the fortunate pleasure over the years of meeting up with several RUkinders: jck_strw, Pete, paulnc, etc. and have found every one of them to be nice and kind and truly good folks.
