Hailing from NC here, 24 y/o been playing guitar for 10 years, however just recently started taking it serious and miraculously into the dead as well, heard my first dead song about 8 years ago and was hooked, unfortunately never got to see te boys live :/ i need some help figuring out where to progress in my learning im at a plateau at the moment!

Thank you for the warm welcome, right now in my playing i know basic chords pretty decent on scales, im not very expressive in a soloing sense yet, still have the training wheels, as i am studying basic theory, id say im at a mediocre level intermediate, my goals are to play like warren, jerry and duane, i want to progress but i dont know where go begin, i get discouraged quite a bit

One of the most productive things for developing improv skill is to find someone to play with regularly. Another guitarist, or perhaps a piano or bass. Then you can go back and forth and become proficient at leads, competent at rythym, and sensitive to listening to what another is doing. If they are a little more experienced than you all the better.
