On the heels of their 2 sold-out shows last Saturday at the Boulton Center for the Performing Arts in Bay Shore, LI, New Riders of the Purple Sage's bass player Ron Penque is playing with his band NEON GODS at Canno's Swiss Tavern in Lynbrook this Saturday, 3/3 at 10:00 PM. Ronnie has been given much of the credit for keeping Marmaduke's (John Dawson, co-founder of NRPS along with Jerry Garcia) vocal spirit alive with band.
Come hear us play our own renditions of some of the tunes Ronnie sings with NRPS in addition to many other originals and covers. We cover the Grateful Dead (you gotta hear our "Dead-on" renditions of these tunes), Jerry Garcia Band (Ronnie toured with JGB and sang Jerry's tunes after his death) and more.
Guaranteed a boogieing, rockin' night! Bring yer dancin' shoes.
