I love Stevie. So I finally desided to sit down and figure out some of his stuff. It's been tuff transcribing the horn and piano parts while mixing in the regular guitar at the same time (I'm trying to figure it for a three piece i.e:Drums, guitar, bass)
but I've now got sighned sealed delivered and Sir Duke(you can feel it all over) sounding pretty good. It's alot of fun and a bit different that what I'm used too. I imagine it's easier to play on a horn (if you play a horn of course) but I'm very happy with what I got

And unfortunately so does String Cheese. Every time I'v eheard them do it, it doesn't compare to the rockus version that Phish used to pump out. Then again, they are more bluegrassy, so I guess I shouldn't expect the thunder that Mike's bass put out. His bass really made that song for Phish.

VH1 Classic has been running a long BBC Treasures concert from what looks like the late 70s. I'm no expert so the time period could be wrong. You should tape it.

PS. I heard he wrote Superstition for Jeff Beck who recorded it in 1973. Stevie Wonder liked it so much he recorded it himself and his version buried Jeff Beck's version. Then Stevie Vaughan re-covered it.
