Sorry to ruin your dream Django. I'm in junior high and I, for one, can not stand posers of anything. Be it poser heads, poser thugs, poser jocks, etc. All of those people just need to be themselves and not try to do whats cool at the moment. 'Cause what they do or wear are only fads that die out in two minutes. I, personally beleive that it's much cooler to be outside the box and be an individual.

Those of you young-uns in this thread who've had the strength to be yourselves should also be strong enough to rise above this criticism and overlook this kind of manifestation of the awkwardness of being a teen. Kudos to you for finding that strength to develop your individuality at a young age and more of the same if you can find maturity (maybe beyond your years) to move past those who now attract your ire.

Don't get me wrong, I really don't want to sound preachy and ya'll are teens yourselves and free to feel anyway you wish, but when I was your age I felt like a bit of a misfit and at times probably tried too hard to fit in in places that weren't me. It took a while for me to feel comfortable in my own skin to the point where I was confident enough to be myself.

Part of that confidence was garnered by watching others who were comfortable and confident but were also kind and compassionate. I wanted to be like them, for all the right reasons. Some of those folks became my best friends.

I'm really not trying to tell you what to think as much as to maybe try to see the picture just below the surface. The surface can be very deceiving.
