Question, what is the intro riff? I don't have a recording.

the original has a grungy sounding effect on it, a little distortion maybe.

btw the version i gave is the stones version, not the dead version. I've only heard the dead play this on DP vol 18 (78-02-03). The intro on that is all in G like the verse to the song. I hear it like this:
