A couple requested recommendations regarding these two phenomenal pedals, mainly the Octave:

[1] Which would you place first, the octave or III? I know pics show the octave physically in front of the III but wanted to ask.

[2] Suggested settings for the Octave when used alone.

[3] Suggested settings for the Octave when used with the III.

Thanks,
BLB

Octave: the Boss OC-2 will do the trick nicely, but fwiw the uber-rare and pricey Mu-Tron version is SOOOOOOOO effin sweet!! Also, I have never directly compared them but the older Japan-made OC-2 is supposed to be a little bit superior to the Taiwanese one.

Envelope-Controlled Follower: the best modern ECF are imo the EMMA DisCumBobulator and the EH Q-Tron (the "+" model just adds an FX loop)

[1]Octave 1st, then ECF... [2][3] the same Octave settings work for me with or w/o ECF: Oct2:7 oclock, Direct: 1 oclock, Oct1:3 oclock

I was lucky enough to pick up an Octave Divider over the holidays. Very good condition with papers and early serial # (if the definition of lucky is paying hundreds of dollars for a 30+ year old pedal). I'm futzing with the usefulness of the Ringer and Stabilizer and the 2 upper controls. So far, a great add to the rig! Sounds wonderful with my III.
