saw New Riders this past Saturday, they sounded great. Unbelievably, Buddy Cage was out there (he was recently diagnosed with cancer , I didnt expect him to show), but he played and sounded awesome.

Scott Murawski (Max Creek, Kreutzmann Trio, Mike Gordon Band) sat in with them for last 1/3 of set, He and Nelson had some cool stuff going on together! Dave Nelson can still bring it!

Awesome! That's only about 3 hours from home. Maybe the wife and I can make it. I opened for the New Riders back in the early-mid 90s. They were super cool.
