A locally owned small music store in my town had an after Christmas sale and everything was 1/2 off. I picked up a Stagg electric guitar based on a Les Paul. I feel like I got a pretty good deal on it, but was just wondereing if anyone has played a Stagg or knows anything about them.

I don't know anything about Staggs, but Harmony Central has a good user review section. Go to www.harmony-central.com. Click on user reviews, then under guitars, select "browse by manufacturer." Stagg has a lot of products listed, so hopefully you'll find yours!

In almost every Harmony-Central gear review, most people rate everything a 10 or a 9 in most of the categories. Look at the averages for ANY piece of gear, and you'll see 9.6,9.8, 9.9, etc.

Pretty limited in usefulness and objectivity imho.

All the reviews are done by folks who own the equipment, so the ratings are biased at least. I like to read what folks have to say, because often times their words contradict their ratings. I also like to search for the poor ratings and see why people had bad things to say.
