I'm kinda curious as to why a power amp would sport three 12ax7 tubes...

Yeah, I should have titled the thread Pre- and power amp tube replacement. It has the matched pairs of EL84 power tubes, then a single 12AX7 for the input stage, and one 12AX7 for each phase inverter, A and B sides.
Preamp has no reverb, so only a single 12AX7 for each side, clean and lead, although I'm often using the clean side for lead hehe.
