When it doesn't fit anywhere else

I went to see DSO last night in Brooklyn (very cool 72 show, probably from Denmark) expecting to see Stu Allen, Brad's pre-amp, and Ruk's Wolf.... But i knew when i saw the SHH strat it was Matteson. What happened to Stu. I was really looking forward to seeing him and the rig some of the folks here have helped to assemble.

I would have no complaints about seeing Jeff w/ DSO, damn that sounds like a good time. From what I have heard, Stu is back with JGB and Schwag through the summer and I guess after that is TBD.

No complaints here! Jeff really shines on the more country tunes and when things get "weird". He was perfect for the 72 copenhagen show they did.

Jeff's the man for the early 70's but he should get a Les Paul for the real early 70's shows.

I went to a JGB show in Denver and there was no Stu. But the guy who replaced him was awesome. I found out his name is Dave Hebert http://www.daveabear.com. I was a little taken aback but he was - dare I say it - better and more jerry like. Stu can be a little too clean and tidy, which Garcia was never.

Had the pleasure of playing with David last Saturday in Asheville. He, Jimmy and Pete were gracious to come play a few songs with us (Phuncle Sam). I hadn't heard David before - absolutely amazing! Hope to have the show up on archive soon.

Meant to add Stu had a baby a couple of months ago so he's taking some time.
