Gotoh, Schaller, Kluson, what do you think?

I am in the market for new tuners, having trouble with the guitar staying in tune and the tuners are the reason. The nut may have something to do with it, it still has the original plastic (i believe) nut. Saw the Gotoh Delta 510 1:21 gear ratio!? these sound like some super tuners. I have never really heard what are the "Best" tuners you can buy, or what guitarists generally claim them to be. Any thoughts before I drop a benji on some tuners?

The only thing I'll add is be sure that your guitars tuning issues are the tuners. Thought so on a guitar and it needed everything but...

I've always been a Schaller guy but I don't think any of the high quality ones are bad.

I agree with tcsned. Something to consider is that some are heavy and could throw off the balance of your guitar. Conversely some are light and could do the same

I just put some mini Gotohs 16:1 on a strat project I had and have really liked them. They hold up well and stay in tune for quite awhile. They were not the locking model though just a regular style. I have the vintage style with the green colored tuning pegs on my Les Paul and the Gotoh are far superior in my opinion.
