Finally, after 5 days, I've been able to sit the new guitar down long enough to take some pics. I'm absolutely LOVING this guitar! I still can't believe it's mine. And now, here she is ...

Hey! Thats looks oddly familiar? I better check to see if you broke in and stole my 145! :-)

Great looking, guitar, man! I hope it plays as well as mine. From your comments, I'm guessing it does.
Heavy guitar, isn't it? It really resonates. The 3+3 headstock really contributes to that.... more neck mass.
Congrats, man. I like the Wolf sticker... I upgraded to the inlay sticker a little while ago, as well.

Post these on the Carvin board too- the Carvinites will enjoy them.

haha Brutus, your 145 is safe :-) Mine is nearly identical specs though. It plays like a dream, but yeah, it is HEAVY. I'm coming from an Epiphone Les Paul, and this is such a HUGE improvement. The tone, the sustain, it's just awesome. And I agree on the resonance. When I'm playing chords, you can really hear and pick out each string. I'm also loving the full 2 octave fret board!

Full specs are:

Fixed Bridge w/ Strings Through Body
Two Coil Splitting Switches
Add Phase Switch

Love it  Congrats!
Seriously getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these.
How does it compare to the LP playability wise? I would be making the move from an SG.

Very nice, very nice. So you can get a multi piece neck with the 145? I was checking out site and thought I needed to go with the DC-A400 to get that- but wasn't sure how to get them to do 3 pickups. Your info is really helpful. Also - minor - but is that just a wolf sticker? Looks really cool. Thanks for sharing - details always appreciated.

DUDE! That is a FINE looking guitar.. I can't wait for mine!!! ahh it's driving me insane! So how does the phase switch sound?

(btw on the card carvin sent you, does the date mean it will be here on that day? or it will be done being built on that day?)

@Cmnaround: I ordered mine off the website, so everything you see here are options that are always available on the DC145. Nothing is "special order" (other than the fact that all Carvins are special Order). The wolf sticker is just that, a sticker. Got it from inlaystickers.com.

@Counterstriker: Hang in there. You've just got a few weeks left. My guitar arrived at my house on the date listed on the card. I don't know that they always get it that accurate, but in my case it certainly was. I called the week prior just to check on the status and see if they could give me and estimated ship date. Dude told me, "call next week" ... Two days later I got the email that it had shipped. Everyone says a phase switch will make it sound "thin and nasaly, and with less volume" ... I guess that is an accurate description, but to me that description says, "it sounds terrible and you won't like it". But I don't think that's the case. It does make it sound thin and nasaly with less volume, but it's not a "bad" sound. I still need to play around with it more to really determine when/where I might use it.

@vwjodyme: In the next few days I'll compare it side by side with my Epi LP and let you know my thoughts on how the two compare in terms of playability wise, but for now, I'll just say the carvin plays like a dream!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I'm off to go jam!!

Can we get some audio samples?? That is such a nice guitar.. I can't wait for mine, I called them yesterday and they said the guitar is set to be done on the 4th (the date on the card) but it could be done before that.

super sweet!
I just love the look of the racing strips on the neck. If i were to do it again I would get the 5 piece neck.
How is the neck radius working for ya?
