Electro-Harmonix Tube Zipper

Wondering about the this pedal and if anyone here has played it? It's a Tube Envelope Follower and a rich tube Distortion unit. DRIVE Knob turns the distortion saturation from low to high. If this is off, it could still be a nice MU sounding item with the warmth of the tubes? Looking to get the best Mu-tron sound possible without going the original route. Looking for the Dancin' '82 sound.

You're right! A second look shows I was listening to the opening of July 22, 1984. Oops! And Phil sounds darn good on the sbd.

Anywho, this pedal is not the Qtron with added warmth - correct? I play with a GDec and wouldn't mind controlling the "warmth" a bit more. Their Blackface setting is good but I feel it could be "warmer".

the "warmth" control is on your guitar... also known as a tone knob.

I'm curious about this. I always run my Qtron into either OD or Dist...I think the Manual suggests adding OD/Dist after the Qtron.

This seems like it puts the two tools for that tone into one package. Is the OD/Dist quality the issue? If not, why no love?

Could always E Bay a used one ... and then report back to the rest of us
