I want to make a dual cable almost like an OBEL cable except instead of the stereo part of the OBEL I want to run 18V for my external power supply. Will I have any problems with the voltage interfering with the audio signal? Should I run positive through the center and negative through the ground, or do I even need it to be grounded?

In Theory, Absolutely no prob running DC next to SHIELDED audio. I would use a shielded coax with the + on the inside and the gnd on the shield. Fred

Alembic does it all the time. No worries.
