Throughout the years Jerry has Black hums and white hums, whats the difference? I always think that the Super 2 is black and the dual sound is white, but i can't figure out if I made that up or heard it somewhere around here. :drink:

no, they had super 2's in White.

No signifigance. I think it was just what was around at the time. Jerry liked to change pickups often with the thought that the magnets lost their oomph after a while.

W/O spending all day looking through photos, I think he did switch to black at the same time that the Super II's came into use (82), but years later on at some point at least one more white HB shows up on Tiger, at middle position iirc.

Like was said my guess is just what they had available. I was going to put black in my new yellow Jerrycaster but they only had one available so I went with the cream instead and I am glad I made the choice as I would have had about 4 weeks of waiting time.
