Thought this is pretty damn cool. Basically they've made it so you can insert your own guitar solo into BLack Elk Speaks off of their new album (which is fantastic btw). They've got a link to an online editing software to insert your solo. See link: http://soundcloud.com/railroadearth/set ... lo-contest

They'll pick their favorite solo and the winner will receive a signed Fender by the band. One of the cooler contests I've seen in a while and I highly recommend picking up their new album, it's been playing non-stop around my house for the past 2 weeks. Thought people around these parts would find this fun.

I think they are going to post the submissions on their website and their facebook fan page.

I'd be all over this except I have no idea how to deal with the technology of recording/sending it to them. "The folks over at Aviary have some pretty great online audio editing software that will allow even the most novice six-stringer enter the contest." Uh, no, not in my case. I am that bad at these sorts of things. Completely in the dark as to how to do it.

Can anyone help me out here? And I mean I don't even know the very basics.
