Dual Sound in the Neck AND the Bridge?

Was wondering if this would be a good fit for me? I'd like the late seventies sound in my two humbucker/3 toggle selector guitar/coil split.
Dimarzio's website describes the Dual Sound's tone as treble 5.5, mid 7.5, bass 8.
I'm no expert, but I'd have thought a pickup with tonal characteristics like that might be somewhat muddy in the neck.
