Just finished my third build

This is after I had rough cut and then routed the body to shape. I am swiss-cheesing it to remove wood so that it is semi-hollow and then cleaning it up with my router. After this it was capped with a 1/4" black walnut top.

Top has been glued on. Body is a 1/4" Black Walnut 5/4" Fir 1/4" Black walnut sandwich.

Cleaned up the glued-on top with a jigsaw and then the router.

Routed for neck and electronics.

Routed for "N-hole" and controls. Edge has been rounded over with the router as well.

Tru-Oiled up.

De Lisle ferrule block installed as well.

Simple wiring, but pretty tidy so I'm proud of it.

Neck is bolted.

Finished product. 5 coats of Tru-Oil have been applied and it was buffed very gently with cloth. Has a Squier Tele neck that i am quite fond of, a GFS Mean 90 in the neck, a Seymour Duncan '59 in the middle, and a Fender No-Caster in the bridge. Tuners and Bridge are GFS. CTS pot for volume, switchcraft jack. Five way selector wired with the same combos a strat would offer. It sounds great and plays super smooth, I have it set up with a pretty medium action, right where I like it.
