LOCKPORT—The vibe at a July 8 Artpark concert featuring two members of the Grateful Dead was just like the 1960s—right down to the LSD dealer in the crowd.
Cletus J. Schuler, 43, of Trout Run, Pa., pleaded guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to a reduced charge of attempted fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
“You don’t come to New York State and pass out blotters of LSD at Grateful Dead concerts,” Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza told Schuler, who faces a maximum 18-month prison sentence when he returns to court Oct. 29. Sperrazza set bail at $50,000.
What rock does this lady live under?

Yeah - I had a friend that did 3 years in VA after being caught with it in his pocket during the patdown going into the show. he only had 10 hits on him to. First time offender and all that - 3 yrs minimum and he served ALL of it.
Crazy...

yeah, the mandatory minimums of the 80's were absolutely KILLER....They counted the weight of the paper (or whatever the carrier was) as part of the whole so when coming to sentencing the punishment was absolutely out of line in comparison to other drug offenses.
I had a friend just get out in 2009 after going in 1986 (busted in Hampton the night of the box of rain "bust out"). He had a sheet and a half on him and got 30 years! Paroled after serving 23!

it all depends who you are, who you know, how much money you have or can make and where you got busted. I know you don't want to get busted in Mississppi FOR ANYTHING drug related, but if you have the money a lot can disappear. Whats sad is they let out child molesters, rapists in 4-5 years and keep a hippy in jail for 23. There is something seriously wrong with that...
