Kind of a strange opener for our show. We were as surprised as anyone else.
We kind of made our way to the stage one by one and vamped into this.
Let us know what you think.

Nice work, but I like the latter songs much better. Doesn't seem the best way to open a show and draw the crowd in. Also, lead singer's voice is great on New Speedway, and others, but doesn't work as well on Dark Star. Are you folks local in CH? or NC? The stage looked nice and roomy, but who was your audience? Is Southern Village up 54 in that community before 15-501 and 54 intersect? How'd you get that gig?

Thanks for the comments. It was kind of strange since we never intended to do the Dark Star and hadn't done it before in front of an audience. I think our singer was totally surprised with it.
We are based in Raleigh but the folks in the band live in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Durham, Wake Forest and Wilson.
Southern Village is indeed the community you talked about. We had between 500- 600 people that night. It's the second time we have played there and the audience was totally into it at both gigs. Through the musical community in the area, we developed a relationship with the person who books the music series.
We are posting more of the show on YouTube and really want feedback, both good and bad. It's the only way for us to change and improve.
Peace.

Cool! I'll be in Chapel Hill for the last 2 weeks of July. Are you playing anywhere then? Would also love to get together and strum some acoustic and have a brew, if there's interest? PM me if you'd like.

Hi,
We will be playing July 24th at Deep South in Raleigh. Would love to have you come down.
And we're always in for a play.
Have a GRATE day.
