I just want some free stuff I can download that I can adjust the levels on like a graphic EQ or something so I can copy the file and it will keep those levels so I can burn it to disc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Gold Wave editor is one my department at VT recommended for students in a Digital Audio for Education class I graded - it seemed to work pretty well. It was a few years ago and I'm not sure if it has been updated. etc.

That's all well and good, but they want 50 clams for it.

Oh wait...I am seeing a free version...nevermind. And Thank You!

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Audacity works well for me and is free. Very powerful, fairly easy to use.
