Boss oc-2 octaver and octave: Is there a difference?

Looking at buying one of these to play around with. Found 2. One says octaver and the other octave. Is there a difference other than name?

One might be made in Japan and the other in Taiwan.

I think TS is right, didn't they change the name one that pedal at one point from Octaver to Octave or vice versa? I think it's the same concept/design circuit, also most seem to prefer the quality/components of the MIJ boxes.

Octaver is the earlier, more desireable MIJ version.
