I bought a beat up Ibanez MC200 a year ago on ebay. Needs some work andlooking for a recommended luthier in Long Island NY that handle the job. Anyone?

Personally I'd ship it to AO up in Maine. I'd much rather ship a guitar for extensive work than hand it over to a local guy that I didn't fully trust.

I agree, Andrew at AO Guitars is your best bet for top notch work!

Thanks guys - I've read about Andrew's work. I'll shoot him an email. I'm not looking for a historical restoration here - more of my own version of a Wolf-like guitar.

or you could get a family member to look at it or even have a chance to quote it.... AO guitars, Thomas Lieber, Gary B. etc.... (and a few others not remembered right off the top of my head), we are swimming in a wealth of top notch luthiers around here!!! The shipping is nominal considering the cost of driving these days...(maybe 20-30$ more than local at the same price for the labor). But I understand if you don't want to ship it, although I never had any problems shipping if its done properly. Just a thought....

Andy and I have exchanges some emails - next is sending him some shots. Noticed some of his quality work on the board and he's open to discussion. Thanks guys!
