Good to see someone else in the Sunshine State. I am in No. Central... Gator Country, if you will. I did read about that on another site and it did seem
very intriguing. Too far to travel for me, though. I get down to the Musicians Swap Meet in Mt. Dora every so often- that's about as close to a Guitar Festival we get in these parts. Although... the GD were last at UF in '80 and DSO was here in '02 and '06! Woo Hoo!

I know Resurrection guitars is goign to be there. I talked to them today. He is bringing a few guitars and one of them being a Wolf he just built.

They are not on the exhibitor list. That is awesome!

Would love to see some of their works... ...but it would cut into a Sunday morning tee time.

Haven't figured what day I can go yet, but I am planning on checking it out. If there is a Wolf model in the house, it could be dangerous.

I have lately been on a huge Son House kick. I was considering checking out some resophonics. Work a little Open E tuning and let it rip.

I hear ya on that. Where do you live? I am in the west palm area.

Here is a photo he sent me while updating me on my Eagle.He recently told me that he did some sort of custom sunburst job on the Wolf. He said it's a very translucent mohogany burst. I will update with pics when they come.

Did you go today? I had plans to go after I took my older son to school but then I got nailed on a conference call that sucked up a great portion of my day. By the time we got through the production of what we were working on, BAM, it was 2PM.

SO if you did go, thoughts?

I think I am going to make it on SUday morning, perhaps tomorrow morning as well as I have an 8:30AM in Miami, god knows why, and can time that 10AM or so arrival perfectly on the way back up to the PBC.

Yes I went today. I spent the whole day there. I had a GREAT time. First thing I did was spent some time on the Breedlove Tour Bus. Even though I am a breedlove rep and they were expecting me anyone can go. So make sure you stop by there. (go in the back of the bus where there high end guitars are). Tell Colin that Jack sent ya!

The main room is acoustic guitars. Just some sick guitars there. I played dozens and dozens of them. I cant even begin to tell you how fun that was. I went with one of my band mates.

Then you have to walk through the casino to another room with the electric guitars. And there are 2 rooms where they are doing mini concerts with some great players. Pick up a schedule when you are there. I hooked up one of the local pros here how is playing 3 concerts there with a custom shop breedlove. Check him out, Mike Isla is his name.

I saw one lady playing name Mary Fisher (I think) She was amazing. She sounded just like Jorma.

Anyway, it was a great way to talk to a lot of builders who I knew of and never met. Like Ken Parker, Tim Mckinght and many more.

It wasnt crowded at all. I think it may be crowded over the weekend.

As I was walking through the acoustic room, which I agree was absolutely mindblowing I caught Phil Keaggy walking around. So in a non stalker kind of way I made my way over and chatted him up and introduced myself, thanked him for all the amazing playing over the years. He then picked up an acoustic and I asked if he minded if I pulled out my FLIP HD cam to shoot it and he said no problem. Awesome. As soon as I figure out how to upload it here I will post it, that guy was the man.

All in all, a great day. Did you catch some of the guys who do inlay work. I know there are a ton of people here looking for inlay work so PM me for their info, I took about three or four cards of people and I have to say their work was some of the nicest I have ever seen.

That is really cool about Phil. The guy is remarkable.

Anyway, the inlays were just sick. Did you go to Tim Mcknights booth and see the sailing ship on the back of one of his guitars. He told me that just the back to 2 and a half months of work.

I played the guitar and it was exceptional. Not only was it a work of art but it was a great sounding and playing guitar. I wanted to talk to him about reselling his guitars but he has a three year wait as it stands!

I can't remember Tim's but I am sure I drooled over there. I thought Larry Robisnon's inlay stuff was just mind blowing. I brought my FLIP so as soon as I get around to it, I'll try to post some clips up here for the RUkinders to take a gander at what was out there.
