Hey all long time no see. The Marines have been keeping me busy, but that's another story.

I want your opinion on a few good acoustic guitars for someone on a budget (200-400). I don't want an "entry" level guitar though.

Hard to say but it should be "used" (name brand). Check craigslist frequently.

you will most likely get the most bang for your buck if you are patient and can find something used on Craiglist.

Anyhow check out these breedloves. I havent updated my website so here is a link to guitar center. Ignore those prices. I can get them much cheaper. Do some research or go into your local GC and play some. They are korean but really nice for the money. I am not crazy about the lower end Taylors, Martins and Lariviees but there are also some nice Alvarez and Ovations in that price range.

I can also get a ton of refurbs or overstocks in that price range of some good brands. PM me if you want me to look into it.

I have an Alvarez of that range and I've been gigging w/ it exclusively since I got it. Sold the higher-end Takamine and kept the Ibanez for backup. I definitely recommend some of the Ibanez and Alvarez in that ballpark. The Breedloves are sweet too. A good friend of mine got one a year ago and loves it. Happy hunting!

Play a few Ibanez acoustics. They make some really good sounding acoustics for short money.

I've got a Blueridge BG-60. Really nice guitar and a great price. First new guitar I've ever owned. Can find trhem used on ebay for really great prices.

I got a nice fat body Takamine electric accoustic for about $500 at GC 4-5 years ago. For that price it's nice.
