I'm certainly no gear geek but this really seems counter intuitive - go figure.

A 1.5 percent difference in dissipated power is hardly significant without taking into account the accuracy spec and calibration of the meters, whether the transformers started out truly "exactly" the same, etc. A sample size of only two transformers isn't really scientifically meaningful, either. Don't go out and "relic" your transformers in search of better performance just yet, fellas.

Cute idea, though.
