I've had my Del'Arte Hommage 14D for a little more than 3 years. It's a great guitar, certainly the loudest acoustic guitar I've ever played. It's great for cutting through the banjo & mandolin with the bluegrass band (of course, it's kinda funny looking so the old timers look at me a little sideways since it don't look like a Martin). The guitar plays great but always made the slightest fret noise and the G-string would get a buzz in it on occasion. With two kids 3 and under, I don't often get time to sit around and mess with my guitars, I'd rather spend the time playing than changing strings and making adjustments. I noticed that the neck was pretty flat last year and meant to do an adjustment but it used a funny sized allen wrench and I never got around to it. I finally broke down and went to a bandmates music store and dug around till I found a wrench that fit and man, what a difference a little relief in the neck makes. Not only did that annoying little buzz go away but the tone is like a whole new and even better guitar! Every guitar seems to have it sweet spot with the action and neck relief that really makes it sing and after 3 years I have found it for this one. I can be a lazy bastard sometimes but it turned out that I kinda got a new guitar for my birthday.

Whew, this gives me hope during a dark hour!
I bought a Martin DC-1E less than two months ago and a couple weeks back it started buzzing between frets 10 and 12. I sighted down the neck and it had gone all out of whack. What a soul crusher... Taking it back to the vendor for a look-see and I hope it turns out to be an easy fix by tweaking the truss rod!
