I just added a group on facebook called RU Kind. That's probably the best way to hook up. It's not showing up yet on the search for some reason, maybe it takes a few minutes.

Do y'all really friend up folks you've never met in real life?

Sorry if I offend anyone but if we haven't chilled in real life I don't add on FB.

I dislike the term "friends" when it comes to social networking... I prefer the term "connection" that LinkedIn uses.

To answer your question... Yes I do friend people that I may not have met in person but it depends on there being a connection that already exists. What type of existing connection I have determines which friend list a person is added to on Facebook.

I like the phrase from the movie Tie-Dyed... "A Dead Show isn't a crowd of strangers, it's a crowd of friends you haven't met yet!"

There was a discusssion on another board about "friending" people you dont know. I do not do it unless I have atleast spoke with or chatted with, for example Rukinders are ok in my book, like "real" freinds, you have a chance. I have freinds on FB that Ive known for years that get deleted because they turn out to be lame. I think this applies with all of the social networking sites. Even here!
