I have a question but I'm not sure if it makes much difference. When placing your speakers in the cab does it make a difference sonically if they are front loaded or rear loaded?

Awsome question, although this has been covered before I will chime in with it does matter. However, this may be a very small difference. I guess your using a baltic cab, so front loaded with the clips is the key! Honestly some folks say yes and some say no.

Well I have an old 212 bassman cab which I believe is pine? I currently have them loaded in the rear and while looking at other photos I noticed for the most part Jerry's were front loaded. I guess the only thing to do is to switch them and see how it sounds. Thanks for the reply dude!

Front verses rear loaded doesnt make much of a difference in my opinion.
BUT If you do go the front loaded route be sure to use the proper speaker clip, that make a HUGE difference

its all good, but if we talk about the c*%^s too much its going to start a flame thread! I will talk about the cabs all day no worries!

I thought this thread would be about 2x12 vertical or horizontal or slant.

I researched this some time back so from memory:

Front loaded - wider projection of sound and slightly more efficient on the speaker
Rear loaded - more focused projection and the speaker works a bit harder passing the baffle
