Well today I found a great little boutique guitar shop. I have known about this place for a while but I never made the trip. I tried many pedals today and ended up buying the Holy Grail+ this pedal is great! It is way quieter than the original and it really sounds nice with my Trio. I have had the RT reverb and the Furman RV1 and the Intersound. Finally I found what I was after. For the money I am really impressed! Oh and by the way this store had an ealry Twin Reverb w/ JBL e120s that was really clean 1200. They also had some orange back Jbls on the wall cheap but the voice coils rubbed! Anyways great store and great pedal. Cheers!

HA! Easy!

Have friends in the NY (Queens to be more specific).

Have had many a good nights there and always enjoy the city.

I'm down for meeting up at McSorley's anytime you are, astroman!

Funny how things like that remind you ( me us )of the Dead
I was listening to some sports talk radio the other day.
Some guy kept saying " He has rings on his Fingers ".
The only thing I thought of was " And bells on her shoes."
:D

Not far at all: http://www.wadesguitarshop.com/

30 years? Wow, long time. Did you know they now let women in? Hehehe. Seriously, no women were allowed in until like 1970.

I love their dark beer. And love how when ordering you get 2 half pints, but both are only mostly filled :)

not only did they not let woman in, when they did there was still just one bathroom, but the big thing was when they put a tv in.
Also one of the owners wound up being a woman(daughter) and she used to have to send her driver in to pick up beer to go.
When I started going it was still an old mans bar...and then it changed.

Thanks for the link Strummin! check out there flikr page some serious guitars and effects. I played those Keeleys man very good sounding, they had a whole wall of sweet Martins and Alvarez. I know this is not a big deal to some from bigger cities, but I just enjoyed the hell out of being able to see all of these sweet axes and effects. They also do mods and custom work!

I have a Holy Grail+ and I found that it likes a really hot signal. When I had it in my effects loop running on just buffered guitar signal, it was kind of noisy. Not so noisy that it was unacceptable, but more than one would prefer. On a whim, I moved it to the Boogie's effects loop, which is where I have a volume pedal and an EQ. MUCH quieter there. Just about noiseless, in fact.
