I truly hate that picture now. I always get a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach thinking of that poor little girl losing her dad. When Brent was still here, it was the best shot in the world. Now it just serves as a devastating reminder about the perils of hard drugs (and I don't really need one, I lost my little brother to a junk OD and he was only 25 at the time)

I feel your pain, but we have to remember the pain, and the tragic loss of life, so that others may avoid the same pitfalls.
When you think of all the life lost to drugs and violence and corrupt wars it is very difficult to understand.
It all hurts too much.
May they all including especially your Brother find the peace we all seek.

astroman thanks for the sentiment.... what you say has merit , overall my stance on drugs and everything else is quite liberal and Live and Let Live, and personal right to choose....... and all that jazz.....I could look at a million pictures of Brent and not think twice about the way he died. There is just an "x" factor in this equation and the "x" factor is his daughter sitting there looking up at him lovingly. I have an 8 year old daughter, and when I imagine how she would feel when told that she would never see her daddy again because he had an accident taking drugs, it just breaks my heart. Throw the loss of my brother into the equation and it just brings out a pavlovian response.

Can't say I "hate" that pic, but it sure is heartbreaking, isn't it?
